  • Obligation to Post

Well I saw that Mark and Tim Skaggs actually posted something, and so I felt like maybe I should post something also and maybe, just maybe, try to get people interested in Xanga again.
So I am back at work at Taco Bell again after a week off in Washington. It certainly was a great time with super duper friends. I have to second what Tim said about how cute Eric Thomas, (aka ET) is! LOL!!
My life is so dull; it is pathetic, I need a life and I keep thinking about college but for some stupid reason I keep putting if off. I know why I keep putting if off and it is because I am afraid of failure. Why? I wish I could just go to college and breeze through it I guess, but I need the challenges of college to help make me stronger or something I don't know. Anyway please pray for me to get over my stupidness and stubbornness LOL!
That's about what is going on with me these days, so I will post later when something good happens!

  • LIVE FOR THE LORD!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Why Must I Live for the Lord?

As I was looking for something to do today after work and after I did a few things around the house, the Lord put something on my mind and I thought it was pretty important for me to share. For some of you this may seem basic and simple, but it is the simple things I sometimes really screw up on. So I hope this is a challenge to you as it was for me.
First of all as a born again Christian out new life is from Christ, it has nothing to do with what we can do or have done. In Acts 16: 28 we see the phrase "For in Him we live, and move, and have our being;..." Our new life comes from within, from the Holy Spirit indwelling each and everyone of us.
Second we must first be dead to sin. I Peter 2:24, Romans 6: 1-2, Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19-20. II Timothy 2:11

We are commanded to live for Him. I am going to use one of my favorite verses right here and that is Galatians 5: 16 which says "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh" The end of I Timothy 5:22 says "...Keep thyself pure..." which is part of living for him.

It also should be the desire of our hearts. Psalm 118:17 says this "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord." Are we going to wither up and die spiritually, or are we going to let the Spirit fill us with his love and be about sharing His Word? Our desire should not be on the 3 "p's", Pals, Parents, Possessions. As one read's through Paul's epistles as I have been doing for my evening devotions, it is quite obvious were Paul's passion and desire was, it was on the One he was serving, GOD! May we have the same desire.

We must live for the Lord, because we love Him.
We must live for the Lord, because there are blessings in store for us
We must live for the Lord, so we can endure trials! (yes trials are a good thing)
We must live for the Lord, so others around can see Christ in us.
We must live for the Lord, because there is NO OTHER OPTION!
We must live for the Lord, because He did SO much for me and you!
We must live for the Lord, because of who He is!
We must live for the Lord, because he is worthy of our service
We must live for the Lord, because he is our Creator
We must live for the Lord, because we don't want to dishonor Him.
We must live for the Lord, because we want to make Him happy
We must live for the Lord, because this world wants to see TRUE believers
We must live for the Lord, because it is our DUTY!
We must live for the Lord, because he alone is worthy of praise and glory
We must live for the Lord, because we are His, and we must not be traitors
We must live for the Lord, because the other option is full of misery and heartache
We must live for the Lord, because it is a joyful thing to do.
We must live for the Lord, so we can experience real fellowship with our Savior.
We must live for the Lord, so we can be truly thankful for "His wondrous works"
We must live for the Lord, because he is our Shield.
We must live for the Lord, because he is our Rock and Fortress.
We must live for the Lord, because he NEVER FAILS!
We must live for the Lord, because he is all powerful, all knowing.
We must live for the Lord, because he is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We must live for the Lord, because without him we are doomed.
We must live for the Lord, because He is a God of LOVE!
We must live for the Lord, to bring others into the fold.
We must live for the Lord, to truly obey the Great Commission.

I could keep going if I thought of other things to say. It is an amazing thing to just sit and think about God!!! If it does not send shivers up your spine there is something wrong with you! I serve a wonderful God, and I desire to live for him each and every day, no matter what my circumstances may be.

This post is to inform interested people, that our dog Jackie, has passed away this morning. We had to put her down due to a cancerous tumor. She will be missed as she was a sweet dog to have around. This makes our 4th (possibly) pet who has given up the ghost due to cancer. I have no idea why all our pets die from cancer it seems. • NEW CAMERA

Well I got a new digital camera for my birthday. My old camera was starting to give up the ghost, so I decided a new camera was what I wanted. Here are some pictures from my new picture. I already love this new camera! Much better zoom and with imagine stabilization! Hallelujah!!!  LOL!! These are pictures of around our property! ENJOY!

This is our dog Jackie or Jack for short! She is a lab/Shar-Pei mix!

This is my mom's bird feeder outside the kitchen window

Picture #3 is some orange flowers my mom has (I have no clue what kind they are) I took this picture from my dad's shop, it gave me an opportunity to try out my 12X zoom, it works pretty good I should say!!!!
Picture #4 our apple and cherry tree orchard, the tree right in front and the one behind it are Cherry trees, the two off to the left are apple trees. They should start blooming in a month or so!!
Picture#5 Wilkie's Woods, that is my dad's name for his future business he wants to start, well it will be kind of his retirement "business". He wants to build desks for different people (I forgot what kind of desks! SORRY!) visit our website www.wilkieswoods.com not much on the website. My dad has not worked on it for a while, but hopefully we will get some stuff on there soon!
Picture#6  These are some garden frogs in my mom's garden. I know things look dead! but once spring comes, things should look pretty! I have no idea where my mom got those frogs, but she loves the guitar, so she had to get them (maybe she got them for her b-day! I don't know!)

Anyway those are my "test" pictures for my new camera, I think they turned out pretty well for a rookie! LOL!
